What we
actually do

Put AI to work
on the jobs
nobody wants

Most AI pilots die in the demo. We only build the ones that save real time or real money: work your team already does by hand, over and over, where the result can be checked. Then we prove it against your own past data before it goes anywhere near a customer.

Talk through an AI use case

Every step logged, attributable, reversible

What it changes

  • Answer customers instantly, around the clock

An agent that knows your products, policies, and order history handles the repetitive half of your inbox and hands the rest to a human with the context already gathered.

  • Stop losing leads to slow follow-up

Inbound gets enriched, scored, and routed to the right owner in seconds, with a first reply drafted and waiting rather than sitting unread overnight.

  • Give your ops team their week back

Invoice matching, data entry, reconciliation, report writing. The work nobody was hired to do, running on a schedule instead of on someone's evening.

  • Make your own knowledge searchable

Contracts, specs, tickets, and wikis become something your team can ask questions of, with citations back to the source document.

Where agents earn their keep

  • Tier-one ticket resolution
  • Order status & returns
  • Draft replies for human approval
  • Conversation summarisation & tagging

Sales & marketing

  • Lead enrichment & scoring
  • Inbound routing & first response
  • Proposal & RFP drafting
  • Content briefs from live SERP data

Operations

  • Document intake & extraction
  • Inventory & supplier checks
  • Scheduling & dispatch
  • Exception handling with escalation

Finance & admin

  • Invoice matching & coding
  • Expense policy checks
  • Month-end reconciliation
  • Board-pack drafting from source data

How we stop it going wrong

  1. 01

    Scope

We pick one workflow with a number attached and write down what success looks like before a line of code exists.

  2. 02

    Evaluate

The agent runs against your historical cases with known answers. If it cannot beat the current baseline on paper, it does not go near production.

  3. 03

    Shadow

It launches in draft mode, proposing actions for a human to approve, so you see its judgement without carrying its mistakes.

  4. 04

    Release

Autonomy is earned one step at a time, with every run logged, attributable, and reversible. You can always see why it did what it did.

What we build

  • Custom AI agents

Purpose-built agents that carry a workflow end to end, with tools, memory, and an approval gate wherever a mistake would cost you.

  • RAG knowledge bases

Your documents turned into an assistant that answers with citations, not confident guesses.

  • Workflow automation

The tools you already pay for, wired into pipelines that run the repetitive work around the clock.

  • LLM features in your product

Copilots, semantic search, and summarisation built into the software you already sell.

  • Evals & guardrails

Test suites for model behaviour, so an upgrade or a prompt change cannot silently regress in production.

  • Model strategy & cost control

The right model for each job, a thin abstraction so you can switch providers, and spend that stays predictable as usage grows.

No black boxes,
no hand-offs

One senior team from the first conversation to the work after launch. You see progress every week, you own everything we write, and you always know what happens next.

01

Discover

A paid, fixed-length sprint to map goals, users, constraints, and the one metric that defines success.

You leave with a scope, an architecture, and a price, whether or not you build it with us.

02

Design

Interfaces and journeys prototyped around real user behaviour, reviewed with you before anything is engineered.

Clarity over decoration. Every screen earns its place.

03

Build

Typed, tested, component-driven engineering in two-week cycles with a working demo at the end of each one.

Your team can sit in on any of them and read the code at any time.

04

Launch

Releases with monitoring, analytics, alerting, and a rollback path in place before the first user arrives.

Handover includes documentation and a walkthrough for whoever inherits it.

05

Improve

Performance, SEO, and conversion work that compounds, measured against the metric we agreed in discovery.

We stay as long as the numbers justify it, and say so when they do not.

Three ways
to work with us

Different problems need different contracts. We will tell you which of these fits before you commit to any of them.

  • Fixed scope

A defined project with a deadline

We agree the scope, the price, and the date up front. You carry no estimation risk.

    • Written scope before you sign
    • Fixed price, fixed timeline
    • Change requests priced individually
    • Best for launches and rebuilds

  • Dedicated team

    Ongoing product development

A senior squad working only on your product, billed monthly, with the same faces every sprint.

    • Designer, engineers, and a lead
    • Two-week cycles with demos
    • Scale the team up or down monthly
    • Best for evolving roadmaps

  • Team extension

You have a team, you need capacity

Our engineers work inside your process, your repo, and your stand-ups, reporting to your lead.

    • Senior engineers only
    • Your tools, your workflow
    • Onboarded in days, not months
    • Best for filling a specific gap

What you get
with every project

  • 01

    Senior people, on your project

The people in the pitch are the people who do the work. We do not bill juniors at senior rates or rotate your team without telling you.

  • 02

    You own everything

Code, infrastructure, accounts, and documentation are yours from day one, in your repositories and your cloud account. No hostage situations.

  • 03

    A price before you commit

Discovery is a fixed-length, fixed-price sprint that ends in a real scope and a real number. If you take it elsewhere, that is fine.

  • 04

    Weekly, working demos

You see running software every week, not a status report. Problems surface while they are still cheap to fix.

  • 05

    Boring technology on purpose

We choose stacks you can hire for and afford to maintain. Excitement belongs in your product, not your plumbing.

  • 06

    We stay after launch

Most agencies disappear at go-live, which is exactly when the real numbers arrive. Support and improvement are part of the offer, not an upsell.

In their
own words

  • Abstacks rebuilt our platform and our pipeline in one quarter. Organic signups tripled, and the AI assistant they shipped now resolves 70% of support conversations on its own.

The things
you were going to ask

Something not covered here? Ask us directly.

What does a project cost?

Most engagements start between $25k and $150k depending on scope, and dedicated teams are billed monthly. We will not quote a real number from a form. Discovery is a short, fixed-price sprint that ends with a written scope and a fixed price, so you see the figure before committing to the build.

How long does it take?

A focused first release is typically eight to sixteen weeks from kickoff. Discovery runs one to three weeks. Anything shorter than that usually means the scope has not been thought through yet, and we would rather tell you that early.

Who owns the code and the IP?

You do, from the first commit. Work happens in your repositories and deploys to your cloud accounts. Documentation, credentials, and infrastructure definitions are handed over as standard, not sold back to you at the end.

Can you work with our existing team and codebase?

Yes, and often that is the better option. We can extend your team inside your process and repo, or take ownership of a specific service while your engineers keep the rest. We will read what exists before proposing to replace it.

What happens if requirements change mid-project?

They usually do. On fixed-scope work, changes are priced individually so nothing gets absorbed silently and no one is surprised at invoicing. On dedicated-team work, you simply re-prioritise the next cycle.

How do you handle security, data, and NDAs?

We sign NDAs before a detailed conversation, work under least-privilege access, and keep client data inside your infrastructure rather than ours. For AI work, we will tell you exactly what leaves your environment, where it goes, and how to stop it doing so.

Do you support what you build after launch?

Yes. Support and improvement are part of the offer rather than a separate upsell, on a retainer sized to what the system actually needs. If it needs less over time, we will say so.

Is our AI use case actually worth building?

Sometimes it is not, and we will tell you. The ones worth it are bounded, high-volume, and checkable. If your idea is open-ended judgement work, the honest answer is usually to wait or to narrow it, and that conversation is free.

Tell us what
you are building

A senior engineer reads every enquiry, not a bot and not a junior account manager. The more you tell us about the problem, the more useful the first call is.

What happens next

  1. 01

    We read it properly

A senior engineer replies within one business day, with questions specific to what you sent rather than a calendar link.

  2. 02

    A technical call

Forty-five minutes on scope, stack, architecture, timeline, and budget. No pitch deck, no sales engineer reading from a script.

  3. 03

    A written proposal

A fixed scope and price, or a team plan with a monthly rate. Yours to take elsewhere if you would rather.

01 — About you

The problem, who it is for, and any deadline. A paragraph is plenty. Budget and timeline are easier to talk through on the call.

We will never share your details. Happy to sign an NDA before you go into specifics.
